E il ferro da stiro?
Siete coperti! Dopo aver testato una serie di ferri da stiro di diverse forme e lunghezze, abbiamo trovato il migliore da abbinare a questo smontagomme. Il ferro da stiro è incluso nella borsa, quindi potete semplicemente rimboccarvi le maniche. Per proteggere al meglio i vostri cerchi, abbiamo incluso anche una copertura protettiva per il ferro da stiro.
È necessario rimuovere il disco/rotore del freno?
No, non è necessario rimuovere i rotori. I supporti sotto il cerchione sono regolabili, quindi è possibile farli scorrere della larghezza necessaria per ospitare dischi dei freni di qualsiasi dimensione.
Bilancia la ruota?
No, ma abbiamo appena lanciato l'equilibratrice per moto Rabaconda, che include una staffa per il montaggio a parete.
Funziona su forcelloni monobraccio?
Sì, abbiamo adattatori speciali disponibili come accessori opzionali. Il nostro obiettivo è offrire accessori per lo smontagomme in modo da poterlo utilizzare per tutte le marche e i modelli di moto. È facile con i bracci oscillanti bilaterali: lo smontagomme viene fornito con un distanziale a gradini che allinea la ruota sul fuso centrale. Le ruote del forcellone monobraccio variano tra i diversi modelli di moto e richiedono un approccio diverso. Qual è il diametro minimo dell'asse?
Il mandrino standard, insieme a un distanziale a gradini, funziona con mozzi ruota da 20-32 mm. Per le moto con mozzi ruota più piccoli di 20 mm, abbiamo un kit di mandrini da 15 mm che consiste in un mandrino da 15 mm, un adattatore per mozzi ruota da 18 mm e un adattatore per il sistema a cricchetto a testa d'anatra.
Funziona con le ruote a raggi?
Lo smontagomme Moto da Strada è stato progettato principalmente per le ruote fuse, ma funziona anche con le ruote a raggi. In caso di ruote a raggi, al posto del perno metallico per bloccare la ruota dalla rotazione, è necessario utilizzare una cinghia (inclusa nello smontagomme) che attraversa i raggi. Tuttavia, è sempre necessario usare la giusta cautela, poiché l'uso di una forza eccessiva può comunque danneggiare un raggio.
Posso cambiare i pneumatici da cross con questo smontagomme?
Il bloccaggio del cerchio rende più difficile il cambio dei pneumatici con una testa di anatra. È molto più facile con i ferri da stiro e il Rabaconda 3-Minute smontagomme.
Si può usare con gli inserti per mousse?
No. Nein. Nej. Non. Nie. Het. Non è possibile utilizzare una testa di papera per cambiare gli pneumatici con inserti di mousse per bavaglini. Utilizzate invece dei ferri da stiro e uno smontagomme Rabaconda 3-Minute.
Cosa succede se non ho l'adattatore giusto?
Se la corsa a vuoto supera i 4-5 mm tra il mozzo e l'adattatore, contattateci, forniteci le dimensioni esatte del vostro mozzo (marca della moto, modello, anno, foto o video del mozzo) e prenderemo in considerazione la possibilità di realizzare un adattatore personalizzato, oltre ad aggiungerlo alla nostra gamma di prodotti.
Cosa succede se utilizzo pneumatici con fianchi molto rigidi?
La sostituzione dei pneumatici con fianchi rigidi (come i Bridgestone Battlax e simili) richiede più tempo, pazienza, maggiore attenzione, pinze centrali e abilità. Non usare una forza eccessiva e prendersi il tempo necessario per sviluppare una tecnica adeguata.
Si può usare su ruote in fibra di carbonio?
Il cambio di una ruota in fibra di carbonio con lo Smontagomme per Moto da Strada è possibile, ma richiede un approccio particolarmente attento e una certa tecnica di rottura del tallone e di montaggio/smontaggio per evitare danni; consigliamo vivamente di fare prima pratica su una vecchia ruota. Non utilizzare mai leve o strumenti simili per non danneggiare il cerchio e non usare mai una forza eccessiva. Rabaconda non è responsabile per cerchi o raggi danneggiati su ruote in carbonio, in magenta, fuse o a raggi.

Will it work on my bike?
As long as the wheel is 12-21" in diameter, the tyre is up to 250mm wide and the wheel's centre hub is larger than 15mm (the 15mm Spindle Kit is included for smaller hubs), it will work. We recommend measuring your hub to confirm whether you need any additional adapters.
What is the smallest axle diameter it supports?
15mm: the 15mm Spindle Kit is included in the box.
Does it work on wire-spoked wheels, not just cast?
Yes. It's designed predominantly for cast wheels but also works on wire-spoked wheels. Instead of the stopper pin, use the included strap through the spokes, positioned right next to the rim. Excessive force can still risk damaging a spoke, so care is needed.
Does it work on cross-spoked wheels (BMW GS, Africa Twin)?
Yes, with the Duck Head Kit for Cross-Spoked Wheels in addition to the changer, needed because cross-spokes run further out toward the rim edge than standard spokes.
Does it work on single-sided swingarms?
Yes, with optional adapters. Double-sided swingarms use the included stepped spacer to align the wheel on the centre spindle; single-sided swingarm wheels vary by bike model and need a model-specific adapter.
Does it work on solid rims with no spoke gaps?
It depends on the brake disc. Some solid cast wheels have slots in the disc that let you thread the included strap through to stop rotation during mounting/dismounting (a Harley-Davidson Fat Boy is a good example). If the brake disc has no such slots, it can't be used on that wheel.
Can it be used on carbon fibre wheels?
Yes, but only when fitted with the Carbon Fibre Wheel Supports accessory, made specifically to adapt the changer for carbon rims. Extra care is required. We recommend practicing on an alloy rim first before working on carbon fibre.
Will it scratch or damage my rim?
Every part that contacts the rim is covered in plastic, but we can't guarantee zero risk. It depends a lot on technique. On our painted demo wheels, we saw the first cosmetic wear marks appear after roughly 150 changes.
Does it balance the wheel too?
No. Pair it with the Rabaconda Motorcycle Wheel Balancer, which takes just a few minutes per wheel. Balancing beads, Ride-On tyre balancing liquid and Centramatic balancers are other options some riders use.
Can I change dirt bike tyres with it?
Yes, if your dirt bike wheel has a rim lock, take extra care and attention navigating it. That said, the Street changer works on tubes or Tubliss dirt bike tires, but it does not work on dirt bike tires with mousse bib inserts because a duck head can't be used to mount or dismount tyres with bib mousse inserts. Use the Dirt Bike Tyre Changer and the Pro Tyre Iron Set instead.
How many tyre changes can it handle in a day?
4-6 changes a day. It takes a bit of practice. Most people have the technique fine-tuned after about 10 changes.
What's the difference between this and a basic bead breaker stand?
A bead breaker alone only pushes the tyre off the rim, the hardest part of the job, but it won't mount or dismount the tyre for you. The Street Bike Tyre Changer includes a bead breaker AND the ratcheting duck head system, so it also does the mounting and dismounting. If a listing doesn't mention a duck head or an equivalent mounting system, it's likely bead-breaker-only and you'll still be finishing the job by hand with tyre irons.
Does it work with the Tubliss system?
Yes. Install the Tubliss components and slide the tyre onto the rim exactly as shown in Tubliss's official tutorial, then use the duck head wherever their instructions call for tyre irons. Mount each bead in turn, using the included strap (not the metal stopper pin) to hold spoked wheels in place, push the mounted section into the drop centre and use plenty of tyre lube. Take care to position the rim lock correctly and don't force it.
My bike has a small hub like a Honda Grom (12mm), will this work?
Not on its own. The smallest hub this changer supports is 15mm, using the included 15mm Spindle Kit. We've tested a 12mm spindle on this changer and it bent under the ratchet system's force, which is why we don't sell one. If your bike has a 10-24mm hub and 10-17" wheels, our Mini Tyre Changer is built for it instead.
Do I need to remove the brake rotor, sprocket or pulley first?
Usually not. The wheel support blocks sit 40mm off the frame, which clears most rotors, sprockets and pulleys. If a sprocket or pulley extends further out than usual and the wheel won't fully rest on the supports, the included Wheel Support Riser Brackets add extra clearance. Only remove the part itself if the wheel still won't seat with the risers fitted.
